A different kind of pool cover

What is a Coverseal pool cover?

Coverseal is a made-to-measure automatic pool cover engineered in Belgium and supplied and installed in Australia by Remco.

A pre-tensioned membrane travels across the pool with a mobile casing, guided by two slim aluminium tracks. As the casing moves, the membrane is unrolled and locked under tension across the pool. When opened, it retracts neatly into the casing.

The result is a taut surface across the full pool area, helping keep leaves and debris out, limit evaporation and heat loss, and add an extra layer of protection when the pool is not in use.

Suitability First

Is Coverseal suitable for your pool?

Coverseal can suit new and existing pools, including many irregular shapes. The pool itself does not need to be rectangular, but the system needs sufficient level space for its rectangular operating footprint and a solid structure beneath the track-fixing positions.

Not sure whether it will work?

Send Remco your plans or clear photographs. We'll assess the pool shape, surrounding surfaces, available space and likely fixing requirements.

Available installation space
As a guide: 100 mm beside each track, about 500 mm at the motor end, 140-220 mm at the idler end and about 220 mm behind the housing.

Secure track fixing
The membrane works under significant tension, so both the finished surface and the structure beneath it must provide a solid fixing.

Surface type
Standard or all-terrain tracks can suit smooth concrete, ceramic, natural stone, dense timber, paving, brick and some solid composites.

Levels and falls
Significant falls towards the pool are unsuitable, as are surfaces falling away by more than 4% or 2.3 degrees.

Unsuitable surfaces
Hollow composite and rubber-mat surfaces are not suitable for track fixing.

Pool features and obstacles
Steps, coping profiles, raised walls, water level and objects within the operating path all need to be reviewed.

Practical Benefits

Why homeowners choose Coverseal

The value lies in the combination of simple operation, a complete perimeter seal, additional protection and a taut architectural finish.

Opens and seals

Bluetooth app control makes opening and sealing the pool a straightforward part or everyday use.

Additional protection

The fully tensioned membrane creates a safety barrier when correctly installed and sealed.

Cleaner water

The complete perimeter seal provides extremly high protection against leaves and debris.

Water and heat

The seal minimises evaporation pathways, while the air layer beneath the membrane provides insulation.

Architectural finish

Slim tracks, a refined housing and coordinated finish complement the wider pool landscape.

Straightforward daily operation

Is Coverseal suitable for your pool?

01

Tracks guide the system

Two slim aluminium tracks define the rectangular operating footprint around the pool.

02

The housing travels

The mobile housing moves along the tracks as the membrane unrolls across the pool.

03

The perimeter seals

The system locks the membrane under tension to create a taut, sealed surface.

04

The cover retracts

To open the pool, the membrane rolls neatly back into the mobile housing.

The outdoor system is solar powered and operated through the Coverseal Bluetooth app while the pool remains in direct view.

Important safety information

Safety: an additional layer of protection

Coverseal has been tested in accordance with the European NF P90-308 pool-cover safety standard. Remco's brochure states that a correctly installed and fully closed system can support a 100 kg adult traversing the cover.

The cover is intended to provide protection in the event of an accidental fall. It is not designed as a deck, play surface, seat or routine walking area.

Australian pool barriers still apply
Coverseal does not replace compliant pool fencing, secure gates or active adult supervision. Pool owners must continue to meet the requirements that apply in their state, territory and local area.

Plan it into the project

For architects, designers and pool builders

Early involvement allows Remco to assess the complete installation envelope-not only the finished paving or decking. This creates the best opportunity to position the tracks and housing cleanly, confirm secure fixing and resolve interfaces before construction is complete.

Remco provides local project assessment, professional installation and commissioning, and ongoing technical support.

Coordinate with Remco on:

  • Pool layout, dimensions and construction stage
  • Surrounding levels, falls and water level
  • Track path, housing position and clearances
  • Finished surfaces and structural fixing beneath them
  • Obstacles, access and installation sequencing
  • Electrical equipotential bonding requirements

Local expertise from start to finish

From assessment to installation

Every Coverseal begins with the pool and the site-not a standard product configuration.

1. Project review

Share the location, plans or dimensions, surrounding-surface details and clear photographs.

2. Technical assessment

Remco reviews the operating footprint, track fixing, levels, housing position, access and obstacles.

3. Custom manufacture

The system is measured and manufactured for the confirmed pool and finish selections.

4. Installation and support

Remco installs and commissions the system, explains its operation and provides ongoing technical support.

Different technologies for different pools

Choosing the right automatic pool cover

Coverseal, Swimroll and Coverstar use different technologies, each with advantages depending on the pool design, stage of construction and priorities of the homeowner. Because Remco works across all three, we can recommend the system that best suits the project.

Decision factor Coverseal Swimroll Coverstar
Cover design Fully tensioned 600 gsm PVC-coated membrane suspended above the water. 17 mm PVC or polycarbonate slats that float on the water. Fabric membrane with sufficient slack to rest on the water.
When open Refined mobile housing remains visible at the end of the pool. Can be concealed within or beside the pool, or installed above ground. Deck-mounted or recessed into a pit on suitable new projects.
Side tracks Slim surface-mounted tracks required. No side tracks. Tracks required; concealment may be possible on suitable new rectangular pools.
Power and rainwater Solar powered, with integrated rainwater drainage into the pool. Mains powered and self-draining through the slat junctions. Mains powered and requires a cover pump for accumulated rainwater.
Often suits Projects prioritising a perimeter seal, solar operation, safety and a taut membrane. Projects prioritising insulation, integration, no tracks or complete concealment. Projects preferring a fabric safety cover, especially when designed into a new pool.

Direct answers

Frequently asked questions

The questions homeowners and project teams commonly need answered before requesting a detailed assessment.

Can Coverseal be fitted to an existing pool?

Yes. Retrofit potential is excellent where there is enough level space for the rectangular operating footprint and a suitable structure for secure track fixing.

Can Coverseal fit an irregular-shaped pool?

Yes, in many cases. The cover follows a rectangular operating path, so the surrounding space, track position, obstacles and pool features still need assessment.

Does Coverseal replace pool fencing?

No. It provides an additional layer of protection but does not replace compliant pool fencing, secure gates or active supervision.

How is Coverseal operated?

The system opens and seals through the Coverseal Bluetooth app while the pool remains in direct view. A manual emergency operation is available in the event of an electrical failure.

Does Coverseal require mains power?

The outdoor system is solar powered, so power-supply cabling does not need to be run to the mechanism. Electrical equipotential bonding requirements around the pool still apply.

How much does Coverseal cost?

Each system is custom made. Pricing depends on dimensions, geometry, site conditions, surface preparation, finish selections and installation requirements.

What maintenance does Coverseal need?

Keep the tracks and moving components clear of dirt and debris, maintain the correct pool-water level, and follow Remco's care and servicing guidance.
